Steamer

Steamers are used to give wood special tones of colour before drying or to stabilise and relax it after rapid drying at high temperature.

• K200-SD: steaming through direct injection of low-pressure steam.
• K200-SI: steam is generated by boiling the water contained in a tank built into the cell’s foundation. Heating is achieved by a submerged tube heat exchanger connected to a combustion chamber fed by a gas or oil burner. Alternatively by a coil fed with high-pressure steam, superheated water or diathermic oil.
